I do not deal well under high stress situations and that really shone through when the time came to start organising our team report. I was trying to make contact and I was too clouded by my own stress and motivation to realise that my team mates all have stresses and other things of their own that probably take precedence over replying to a Facebook message.
Once we all managed to start the ball rolling it seemed to have a snowball effect, but a positive snowball if there ever was one. We have had two Skype meetings so far to discuss what needs to be done and who needs to do it and what fits where and how we are to do everything and we seem to all bounce of each other really nicely.
If we don't like an idea or think an idea should be modified then we aren't afraid to voice this but I have noticed that instead of saying very bluntly 'no', we will suggest an alternative and why the alternative may be a better route and let everyone have their own opinion. I am really enjoying this about this team as it shows more maturity than you would except out of 100 level course students, I suppose that's the advantage of being distance as we all tend to be older (and wiser) than first years.
Although it is still relatively early in the report, the due date is creeping around really quickly and we have managed to kick our feet of the ground and fly into motion with tasks assigned to each person and due dates for each task. Our decisions are collaborative and we encourage feedback amongst ourselves.
If my team can work this well together having only talked to one another twice via Skype then I am looking forward to what we can produce as our final report.
